When I was a kid, there were still a lot of relics of roadside attractions and souvenirs floating about in peoples houses and cars.

Not for the faint of heart, because, when the heart faints it dies. Welcome to the future straight from the design inspirations of the past. The design of that time was solid and austere symbols of wealth and freedom. Interesting how we eventually abandoned this style. Not to say that it has anything to do with the way the world works now, it’s just interesting.

Perhaps we got too greedy? Cut corners for a century and we have strip malls molding in place of stone buildings. Instead of solid stone sculptures we have billboards shredding in the wind and snow. Not to put a negative view on the world we live in, but, would it not be amazing to be living in the future world described by the film Metropolis?

Either way, I’m sharing too many thoughts. In these pieces there are no corners cut. They are solid reminders that quality still exists………just not in the architecture……..And, from the dates of April 27th to April 30 2024, I’ll throw in one of my other “Old School” creations: The Horse Head Bottle Opener. Can these be resized? These have no stones in them therefor they are quite easy to resize. The chain can be any length up to 30”. If you want it longer than that I’ll ask you for a little more cheddar. Message me at @sanctuary_city_rings for more information.
